The Barn Owl and the Harvest Moon
I hope you were lucky enough to have seen the Harvest Supermoon and the partial lunar eclipse last night.
Despite setting my alarm for 0345 to witness the peak of this beautiful rarity, sadly the thick cloud across the Suffolk skies totally obscured my view.
The Harvest Moon is the full moon that appears closest to the autumn equinox, and is so named as traditionally the farmers are gathering their autumn crop at this time.
The nights are drawing in and our waking hours are increasingly overlapping with the owls as they start getting busy, busy around twilight. Autumn is a great time for owl spotting.
Cut from 8mm steel in my unique stylised design, Barn Owl is instantly recognisable, with his iconic heart-shaped face and dark mysterious eyes. Sitting on a tall, solid stem, which easily pushes into the ground to your preferred height, this life-sized piece of metal art for the garden looks stunning positioned next to a tree or a fence post adding year round interest and maximum visual impact.
Barn Owl makes the most ‘owl-some’ gift for nature, wildlife and garden lovers alike!
